Muses

First and foremost...
Proof for my children that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
my children ...

Alyssa, Sept 2009
Alyssa, my oldest, was born in 2001 ... she is a daydreamer and a visual, musical and dramatic artist ... she isn't afraid to try anything ... her favorite sport of the moment is softball and her dreams include becoming a pop star, a super model and a professional skateboarder ... she thinks she's sixteen already, but truly lives out her childhood for all it's worth ... carefree with little responsibility ... exactly what childhood should be ...

Hailey, Jan 2010
Hailey, born in 2003, is definitely a middle child, she is a wise and mature soul ... she wants to fix everything ... and be mommy ... and make everything better ... sometimes she forgets that she is a child and doesn't have to take all this responsibility on herself ... she is my animal lover ... any kind of animal ... anywhere ... she loves them ... which might have something to do with one of her dreams being that she wants to be a veterinarian one day. Hailey hasn't had the easiest of lives, struggling with multiple medical issues including asthma, dermatographia and an eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorder ... meaning there's a lot of foods she can't eat. She is amazingly sweet ... but is the definition of "when she's good; she's very, very good, and when she's bad she's horrid" ... she knows that ... but is good almost all the time ... she loves butterflies and she is already an amazing writer and graphic artist .... she does things with a computer that amaze me...

Trevor, Jan 2010

Trevor, last but not least, born in 2005, not fully baked yet because of pregnancy-induced hypertension is pure boy ... he's not sure what he wants to be when he grows up yet ... but part of that comes with just being a boy ... he loves all the normal "boy" stuff ... superheroes and transformers ... he also is taking after his mommy in the gaming world ... wanting to spend more time than any five year-old boy should playing games ... so we allow it in moderation and try to find good, educational games for him out of the slew of free Internet games that exist ... he beat Lego Batman on the XBox at age four ... so for now that is his talent ... he has played soccer and will try his hand at both basketball and football later this year ...

All three of my kids have taught me things, things about me, things about life, things about parenting ... things about divorce ... things about dating ... things about ... things ... they all have amazing gifts to bring to the world ... and they are writing their own stories ... I am just happy to be a character in them ... I am not a perfect mom ... but my kids are very good kids most of the time ... and in fact individually are all amazing .. most of the issues have to do with them being together and fighting with each other ... outside of that they just really are good kids ...

The Love of My Life ...

Just Us 2009
Almost a cliche in this day and age ... Jason and I knew each other in middle school ... lost contact ... and "reunited" through MySpace ... we were friends in middle school, nothing more ... and we were friends "this time around" for a long time before we decided to try our hand at a relationship ... his main role in life lately (for the last several years) has been as a caretaker; for a grandfather with ALS, a grandmother who had a freak accident, where she managed to run herself over with a car, a father that needs his help for various things on occasion ... and then, for me ... for support as a friend through a divorce ... for babysitting when I was first trying to work and survive as a single mom ... as my main source of help through three moves in the last two years ... and finally as my rock ... currently we live one-hundred, thirty miles away from each other ... making our relationship long distance, although not as long distance as some ... so we treasure our time together ...

My Amazing Friends ...

I have many, many amazing friends, all with their own special talents and gifts and all bring a "specialness" to my life that I would miss if I didn't have ... they inspire many of my blogs, through their trials, tribulations and celebrations ... here are just a few of their faces ....

I have many other muses ... many other sources of inspiration ... random blogs I read ... random stories I hear ... random songs I hear ... overall I have a lot of random inspiration .... but those listed here are by far my most influential muses ...
